Coconana: The Hand Sanitizer That Smells Like You're Off the Clock

Hand sanitizer has a reputation problem. For most of us, it smells like a hospital hallway, leaves your hands tight and dry, and lives at the bottom of a bag next to loose receipts. You use it because you have to, not because you want to.

We made Coconana for the opposite reason. It's the one you'll actually reach for.

What it smells like

Coconana is built on four notes: ripe banana, sweet pineapple, creamy coconut, and warm vanilla. If that combination sounds familiar, it should. It's basically a piña colada with a banana in it, which is the kind of drink you only order when you're somewhere warm with nowhere to be.

The banana gives it softness, the pineapple keeps it bright, the coconut rounds it out, and the vanilla ties everything together so it stays smooth instead of candy-sweet. It sits in the fruity gourmand family, meaning it smells good enough to eat, but it's light enough that it won't follow you into a meeting and announce itself.

One of our customers, Amanda, said it reminds her of a piña colada smoothie and a summer breeze. We'll take that.

It still does the job

A good smell is nice. A sanitizer that works is the point.

Coconana's active ingredient is 72% isopropyl alcohol, comfortably above the 60% minimum the CDC recommends for hand sanitizers. It comes out as a fine mist rather than a gel, so it spreads evenly across your hands, dries quickly, and doesn't leave that sticky film you get from the pump bottles at the grocery store.

Why your hands won't feel like sandpaper

Alcohol cleans, but on its own it's rough on skin, especially if you're sanitizing ten times a day. So we built the formula to put some moisture back:

Aloe leaf juice soothes and hydrates. Vitamin E helps protect the skin barrier. Glycereth-26 is a humectant, which means it draws moisture toward your skin instead of letting it evaporate along with the alcohol. We also use a radish root ferment, a gentle, plant-derived ingredient that helps keep the formula fresh.

The result is hands that feel clean without feeling stripped.

Small enough to actually carry

The bottle is roughly the size of a credit card and less than half an inch thick. It weighs about an ounce and a quarter. That means it slides into a back pocket, a wallet, a jacket, a gym bag, or the slim pocket of a purse that usually only fits a lip balm.

It's the rare sanitizer you won't forget at home, because it fits everywhere you already are.

The good-to-know stuff

Coconana is vegan and cruelty-free. It's part of our Light Collection, our lineup of brighter, breezier scents. It's $7 a bottle, and you can grab it as a single, a 3-pack, or a 6-pack if you want one for the car, one for your desk, and one for whoever keeps borrowing yours.

Take a little vacation, 30 seconds at a time

You can't book a beach trip every time you touch a gas pump or a shopping cart. But you can make the next minute a little more pleasant. That's what Coconana is for.
