This brown butter syrup is sooo good. it only takes three ingredients, and you can make a batch to keep in the fridge for this brown butter banana bread latte. creamy banana milk, salty-sweet syrup, and espresso over ice is my favorite way to start the morning. sweeten it however you like!

Steps

  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and cook until it smells nutty and turns golden brown. Whisk in the rest of the syrup ingredients and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, until smooth and as thick as you like. Let it cool.

  2. Blend the banana milk ingredients until smooth.

  3. Stir the espresso and syrup together in a glass. Add ice, pour the banana milk over the top, give it a stir, and enjoy.
