These frozen banana Snickers are my go-to afternoon treat. They take about 15 minutes to make and keep in the freezer for whenever a chocolate craving hits. My daughter loves helping me make them, and they're a great way to use up ripe bananas.
Equipment
Steps
Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut the banana in half crosswise, then slice each half lengthwise so you have 4 pieces.
Lay the banana pieces on the baking sheet and spread peanut butter over each one.
Sprinkle the dates and peanuts evenly over the top.
Microwave the chocolate chips and coconut oil for 30 to 45 seconds, stirring every 15 seconds, until melted and smooth.
Drizzle the chocolate over the bananas and sprinkle with flaky salt right away, before the chocolate sets.
Freeze for 10 minutes to firm up, then enjoy!
Notes
Use bananas that are ripe but still firm. If they're too soft, they won't hold the toppings well.
Store them in the freezer, then let them sit in the fridge for about 20 minutes before eating.
Feel free to swap or adjust the toppings. It's hard to go wrong here!
